Janelle Wehrman
Janelle Wehrman, CEO
Janelle lives in Coldwater, Ohio with her husband Tom and son Nicholas. She is a Licensed Social Worker, earning her Bachelor’s Degree from Wright State University. Janelle began her employment with MRSI in 2000 as Area Coordinator in our Van Wert Region for 13 years. She then transitioned to our Mercer County Region, which includes Auglaize and Darke Counties, the Wayne Street Home and the Mercer Regional Community Support Programs. She was the QIDP for the Wayne Street Home. Her primary duties while Area Coordinator consisted of implementing and monitoring individual active treatment and informal training as specified by individual’s support plans, supervising staff and she was responsible for performing payee duties for the individuals served. In 2016, she was promoted to the Director of Quality and Staff Development. In this position she was responsible for ensuring all locations were in compliance with State and Federal Regulations. She was also responsible for staff trainings. In 2017, she was promoted to CEO.

Emily Hoelscher
Emily Hoelscher, Director of Operations
Emily is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education majoring in Developmental Disabilities and Habilitation. During college, Emily worked for a residential provider as a DSP and was later promoted to Assistant Home Coordinator. After obtaining her degree, she worked as a Behavior Support Specialist for the Wood County Board of DD. Emily moved back to her home town in Auglaize County with her daughter and began her career with MRSI in August of 2016 as the Area Coordinator/QIDP for the Mercer and Auglaize County regions. In November of 2017, Emily was promoted to Director of Operations.

Bev Boroff
Bev Boroff, Finance Director
Bev Boroff joined MRSI November 2019 and brings many years of accounting and finance experience. Bev has an accounting degree from Wright State University and an Organizational Management Degree from Bluffton University.
Bev lives in Van Wert with her husband Rick and enjoys spending time with her family and is blessed with 2 wonderful daughters and son-in-laws and 6 amazing grandchildren. She attends Trinity United Methodist Church where she is a member of the Finance Committee. When she isn’t working her hobbies include baking, reading, camping and spending time attempting to dance and laughing with friends.

Shannon Heindel, RN
Shannon Heindel, RN, Van Wert County Health Services Coordinator
Shannon is a registered nurse and works with our Van Wert County Division coordinating and supervising the medical plan of care for our Van Wert consumers. She received her nursing degree from Lima Technical College and has been employed with MRSI since the year 2000. Shannon develops and monitor’s all health care programs including communicable disease and infection control. She is a Delegated Nursing instructor and teaches medical training for staff in-services. Shannon is also a certified CPR/First Aid Instructor. Shannon and her husband Tom live in Mercer County with their 4 children Caleb, Mikaylee, Madalyn and Caden. Shannon enjoys working for MRSI and especially enjoys working with our clients and helping them with their medical care.

Jennifer Bishop
Jennifer Bishop, Adult Day Service Director
Jennifer lives in St. Henry, Ohio with her husband Jared and four children Emily, Olivia, Aubrey and Wyatt. During her free time Jennifer enjoys spending time with family and friends and going on new adventures. She has earned an Associates of Science in Medical Office Management. Jennifer started at MRSI in 2013 as a DSP. In July of 2020, Jennifer was promoted to ADS Director. She is responsible for all operations of our ADS program including vocational services.

Wanda Fields, RN
Wanda Fields, RN, Mercer County Health Services Coordinator
Wanda Fields, RN has been with MRSI since May 1996. Wanda works at the WSGH where she oversees the residents overall medical care including assessments, preventative care, and medical appts. She is responsible to ensure all rules and regulations issued by ODH and DODD are being followed. Wanda is a certified trainer of Delegated Nursing. She provides training for staff of WSGH and Mercer Adult Day Services in the administration of medications, performing health related activities, insulin injection and G-tube. Wanda is a member of the Western Ohio Chapter of Developmental Disability Nursing Association (DDNA) and the National Chapter of DDNA. Wanda and her husband Jon live in the New Weston area. She has 2 children. Cody lives at home and Tiffany lives in Osgood with husband Kyle and daughter Annelise.

Jessica Grunden
Jessica Grunden, Van Wert Program Director
Jessica lives in Convoy Oh, with her husband Todd, their daughter Vaydah, and son Makyn. Her kids are truly the best part of her and her life. She enjoys spending time with her family, and trying to find new and different things to do and see. She has been working in this field since December 2014. She has worked as a DSP, a Home Manager, and now as the Program Director for Van Wert County. Jessica stated, “This job has stolen a big piece of my heart. I enjoy each and every person we serve. I hope that I can give back to them just a fraction of what they have given and taught me.” Jessica joined the MRSI team in 2019 as the Program Director for our Van Wert County. She is responsible for our Van Wert county region, which includes the Thomas Edison Home, and the Van Wert Regional Community Support Programs. She is primarily responsible for implementing and monitoring individual support plans and supervising staff.

Jenny Kinney
Jenny Kinney, Administrative Assistant / Human Resources
Jenny is our Mental Health Housing Coordinator and HR/Administrative Assistant. Jenny has a degree in social work with years of experience working in the mental health field and social services. In her spare time Jenny enjoys spending time with family including her three beautiful daughters, Olivia, Sophia and Lilliana.
I enjoy working with the staff here at MRSI and greeting the clients every morning. MRSI not only cares deeply for their clients but are also very supportive of the staff.

Anna Rigney
Anna Rigney, Mercer / Auglaize County Program Director
Anna is a graduate of Bluffton University with a major in Social Work, and minors in Psychology and Sociology. Anna is also a licensed social worker. Anna has previously worked as a DSP in homes, and in a nursing home. After obtaining her degree, she worked as an SSA for the Allen County Board of DD, Counseling Services, and Area on Aging before joining the team at MRSI in December of 2021. Anna is the Program Director for Mercer County. She is primarily responsible for implementing and monitoring individual support plans and supervising staff. Anna enjoys being a 4-H advisor in Auglaize County and raising her goats and rabbits.

Julie Baldwin
Julie Baldwin, Administrative Assistant
Julie Baldwin has been the Administrative Assistant since September 2022. She is a graduate of Ivy Tech with a degree in Healthcare Support. For 13 years Julie was an IO Wavier Provider for the state of Ohio, and she owned and operated a care service for children with developmental disabilities. Since 2018, her work experience has been in human resources.
In 2015 Julie moved back to her hometown in Mercer County. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, reading historical fiction, browsing antique stores, and playing with their 3 pets.
