Adult Day Services

Certified by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.

MRSI’s adult day support is offered in small group settings, catering to the distinct interests of participants. It encourages a personal approach and enables a focus on learning and using new skills and knowledge. We strive for our individuals to have greater independence, establish and/or maintain community membership, build lasting relationships, and increase self-direction and self-advocacy.

Community Support Services

Empowering individuals to live in their own homes.

MRSI’s staff assists individuals living on their own so that maximum independence is achieved.  Staff encourage clients to make decisions and choices which affect their lives.  MRSI offers qualified and well-trained staff that are matched to the individual.  All staff receive extensive training in self-determination, positive culture, Trauma and Crisis Intervention, First Aid / CPR and delegated nursing procedures.

Licensed Group Home

Providing Person-Centered support.

We own and operate an eight-bed group home in Celina, the Wayne Street Home. This home is an Intermediate Care Facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF/IID). We manage the Thomas Edison Group Home located in Van Wert, also an eight-bed home. These homes provide 24-hour staffing, 7 days a week. We offer individualized training in the areas including, but not limited to, daily living skills, academic functions, human sexuality and life safety skills. This is based on the needs and desires of each person.

Mental Health Housing

Designated housing agency for the Mercer, Van Wert and Paulding Counties Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board.

We currently own and operate three apartment buildings, each with six units, along with two family units.  The apartments provide safe and affordable housing for consumers who are receiving mental health services and who need assistance with housing. By placing apartments in the local communities, we give everyone the opportunity to be a viable part and blend into the community.

Respite Care Services

Short-term and extended Respite Services.

Caregivers need time away from their caregiving responsibilities to pursue personal interests, socialize with friends and family or simply to take a break. Though caregivers often feel guilty leaving their loved one in the care of someone else, it is imperative for both parties to get a break from each other. Caregivers who neglect their own physical and emotional health may be ill equipped to meet the daily challenge of caregiving.

Shared Living

Share your home and make a difference.

MRSI is looking for kind, committed and compassionate people in Auglaize, Mercer, Van Wert and surrounding communities. A Shared-Living Provider is someone who opens their home and provides daily support and companionship to an adult with a developmental disability. A Provider is a teacher, mentor and friend, helping the person to live a meaningful life at home and in the community.
